The long hike yesterday took its toll and I woke up at 10:00 AM in Riobamba. After a lovely humita in the bus station, I was off to Ambato at 11:00 AM, and enjoyed great views like the one above. I made my way around town, visiting various parks and spending a lovely break in a bakery. I was sure to get a picture of myself in front of the "AMBATO" sign. I went to a museum in the center of the city where I prevented a cell phone theft. Wait, what? Nothing too crazy; I just brought an unattended charging phone to the museum office, but the owner of the phone thought it was a huge deal and found me and thanked me graciously. That was nice. It could have been the other way around and he could have been angry at me for touching his things. The museum artwork was nice. I especially liked the ones of outdoor scenes. I went to another cafe, had chochos (I wish we had chochos back home), and called it an early night in a small hostel. It was simple, but that was fine for me since I legitimately fell asleep at 8 PM.
