One of the best ways to learn about Â鶹´«Ã½¼¯ÍÅ is by talking to a current student. Chat with one of our student ambassadors via text.
I come from Chatsworth, CA.
I speak English and Persian.
Clubs/groups you are involved in on-campus: I am part of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) Woodbury Chapter.
Favorite courses: My favorite courses are my studio class of each semester, and ARTH 205. The studio class is the main course for architecture to learn new software and come up with new design ideas and creating models. I also enjoyed the History of Contemporary Art class which gave me a new perspective on art and I appreciated the friendliness of my professor.
Favorite Spot on campus and why: Well, I have two favorite spots on campus, the first one would be my studio since I basically live there and do everything, and the second would be the walkway from School of Architecture to Woody’s, our campus Cafe because of the green environment it has which boosts my spirit.
Hobbies/interests: IÌýlike to read, watch movies/TV shows and hang out with friends.
I chose to attend Â鶹´«Ã½¼¯ÍÅ because it’s accredited architect school, because of its size it’s not too crowded, has 24/7 access to studios with 24/7 security around which makes it a safe place to be at.

Clubs/groups you are involved in on-campus:ÌýPsychology club
Favorite courses:ÌýIÌýreally enjoyed my Journeys (INDS 101) class with Professor Mike Sonksen because I got to dedicate time to learning more about my own life journey through journaling and reflection and I was able to take inspiration from my classmates and other artists we learned about.
Favorite spot on campus and why:ÌýMy favorite spot is Woody’s, our dining hall, because I feel like it is the heart of campus. I love getting some good food and looking at the art wall inside or looking out at the greenery of the quad when I sit on the patio.
Hobbies/interests:ÌýI like rock climbing, writing, listening to music, learning new things, and spending time with my favorite people.
I chose to attend Woodbury becauseÌýthe small community allows me to bond with my peers and get one-on-one access to professors and faculty. I also love that Woodbury prioritizes giving students real-world experience through projects and internships before we even graduate. We all work together to help each other succeed.

Clubs/groups I’m a part of: I’m not currently part of any clubs or groups on campus, but I hope to be!
Favorite Courses: My favorite course currently is PSYC 200 with Dr. Joye Swan. She keeps the class engaged, and I love learning about psychology. It is a great class, even if you are not a Psychology major because it gives you a broad overview of psychology and how humans interact with each other and the world around us. Taking this class, I will be able to specify how the principles of psychology can be used for everyday problems while bringing awareness to many different subjects psychology is involved in.
Favorite spot on campus and why:ÌýMy favorite spot is the Library. It’s my favorite spot because it’s a great place to study and because of the great history behind it. The Library used to be a chapel when this campus first was a school of girls founded by Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini and was called Villa Cabrini Academy. It’s a great reminder of the beginnings of this university and the importance of education to me. Along with the stained-glass windows and beautiful chandeliers, the library creates a feeling that we are all here to learn and develop into great scholars.
Hobbies/ interests:ÌýI enjoy going to concerts and listening to music. I also like to go out social dancing with friends and go on road trips!
I chose to attend WoodburyÌýbecause I wanted a smaller learning environment with my professors and peers. Here, I can fully expand my potential and learn to the best of my ability. Amazingly, professors and advisers can get one-on-one time with you to get real-world experience through internships and other opportunities tailored to me and my education.
I come from: the southern California greater Palm Springs area.
I speak English and Spanish.
Clubs/groups you are involved in on-campus.Ìý Since my journey at Woodbury is still beginning, I am exploring all that Woodbury has to offer.
Favorite courses: One of my favorite courses this semester is the Matter and Making course. It is a course that teaches the fundamentals of building construction and materials. As part of our learning experience, we are attending site visits and construction sites which has given us the opportunity to see what we are learning applied in actual space. It also allows us to connect with professionals in the field and ask in-depth questions about the site, design and construction limitations and processes.
Favorite spot on-campus and why: My favorite spot on-campus is being outside in the alumni quad, especially any view that faces our lovely library. For study spaces, I like working in the architecture studio space with the ample desk spaces and the natural lighting. And, if the studio space gets a bit too active, there are lecture rooms in the business building that I use for a quiet space when the classroom is not in use.
Hobbies / interests: I enjoy learning about contemporary happenings within the scope of architecture and urban design and part of this includes attending lectures and following social media postings on reputable sources on social media. In terms of hobbies, I am athletic and enjoy running and participating in the local 5k.
I chose to attend Woodbury because… having attended a large scale, big name university as an undergraduate, I was really looking for a smaller scale campus that emphasizes applied research opportunities and intimate class sizes. What also was very important to me is that the architecture program be accredited and with Woodbury offering the IPAL (Integrated Path to Licensure) program, a program only a small handful of schools in Southern California offer, Â鶹´«Ã½¼¯ÍÅ really met all my desirables for a graduate experience.
