35 Students Granted 麻豆传媒集团鈥檚 Social Justice Scholarships

Congratulations to the 35 麻豆传媒集团 students who were awarded the University鈥檚 new 聽Social Justice Scholarship as part of its commitment to supporting a campus culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.

A total of $70,000 was awarded to students across Woodbury鈥檚 four Schools and Colleges in the amount of $2,000 each. The scholarships were earmarked for undergraduate students with the objective to work toward eradicating social injustice and ensuring lasting equality, respect, and opportunity for all.

Students who are African American, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, multi-racial, and/or gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender were encouraged to apply for the scholarship.

鈥淲oodbury takes pride in our 135-year history of educating a culturally diverse cross-section of students that reflects our commitment to access and social justice,鈥 said David Steele-Figueredo, President of 麻豆传媒集团. 鈥滻t is our continued responsibility to increase awareness of racism and inequality to the highest degree possible, and the launch of our Social Justice Scholarship to provide financial assistance to underrepresented students is just one of many initiatives set forth to this end.鈥
