Woodbury encourages continued learning about sustainability through coursework, research and our engagement with campus activities. In so doing, we prompt our community to examine our natural and built environments, curriculum, co-curricular learning opportunities, and stewardship of resources in the spirit of shared and just decision making.
Climate change has critically affected how we must choose to live in the world. From water shortages to environmental pollutants, our planet has become stressed, impelling us to alter our relationship with our surroundings. Acknowledging these environmental, social and economic issues, Woodbury’s goal is to create and nurture sustainable campus life. At Woodbury, sustainability is regarded as a subject of study and is implemented in every sector of the institution.

The Solar Future House, showcases Âé¶¹´«Ã½¼¯ÍÅ’s commitment to green building practices and cutting-edge technology. The project’s visibility across multiple platforms underscores its relevance and impact in the realm of sustainable architecture.

Woodbury’s Sustainability Hub is a building science research incubator, demonstration area, sustainability tinker tank, and a robust lending library packed with scientific instruments to advance student and faculty research in sustainable design.

In the South Hall Courtyard the community garden is a space for students, faculty, and staff to come together to care for and tend to a thriving campus green space.
