The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences鈥 Tutoring and Writing Centers support students in writing, math, science and other subject areas. This May, a total of nine Woodbury peer tutors from a wide range of majors and backgrounds will be graduating. These tutors have helped their fellow students by providing individualized feedback, improved understanding of course material, increased confidence, and a deeper sense of community and belonging.
鈥淥ur tutors have made a significant impact on the academic success of their peers,鈥 says Laurel DiGangi, coordinator of tutoring services. 鈥淎nd I鈥檒l be excited to see where their talent and ambition takes them in the years ahead.鈥
To celebrate our graduating tutors, Professor DiGangi asked them to discuss what they see as their biggest accomplishments during their Woodbury careers.听

Two of our tutors, Cassandra Siqueiros and Delaney Evans, completed the Writing Center鈥檚 ITTPC-certified training program, earning certificates and pins. Cassandra is graduating with a BA in Business Administration and Marketing. During her last semester, Cassandra cites as her biggest accomplishment her internship at Globafly in one of their Smart City Takeover campaigns with Woodbury. Delaney, a Fine and Animation Arts major, is proud to graduate summa cum laude. Over the course of his Woodbury career, he built up a portfolio of life drawings, character design, and background paintings and created two short films, one of which has won two film festival awards. Delaney says he is proud that his newest film was 鈥渃ompleted ahead of schedule, with a custom music score made by students at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program.鈥听
